Note to students: The following information is for individuals serving as references. Additionally, a recommendation is not required for the General Application and therefore, not all students will need to supply a reference. Only some scholarships on the portal require references.

For an overview of the Reference Portal, you are welcome to view a short video (use password: reference4).
After a student enters your name and email address into their scholarship application, the system will send you an invitation email containing a link. If it is your first time serving as a reference on the portal, the link will direct you in setting up your access to the portal. When logging into the portal as a reference, you will use the email and a password you set up specifically for use on the portal. DO NOT use your HawkID/password.
For security reasons, your password must be at least 8 characters long and needs to contain at least 1 digit, 1 uppercase letter, and 1 lowercase letter.

Once you have logged into the portal, you will be presented with the reference request. The information you provide will remain confidential and is not viewable by the student. It will only be viewed by those reviewing the application, though the student will be able to see that you have successfully submitted the recommendation.
